Do you want to improve your fitness, make new friends and feel good about yourself? Couch to 5K (C25K) Group at Biggin Runways can help you achieve your aim. The C25K is a friendly and accessible group learning to run by running and walking, all to a planned schedule.
C25K is aimed to introduce people to running, using this nine week course to build up from a very basic level. Everyone will be encouraged to progress at their own speed to achieve running a distance of 5K by the end of the nine week course.
The Club session is held on Thursday evenings, and there are other two 'homework' sessions we would ask you complete on your own or with some of your new friends from the group during the week.
We meet in the car park of The Black Horse Pub, 123 Main Road, Biggin Hill. TN16 3DX. Please see the map on our Contact page. The session commences with a warm up at about 6:00pm. We run or run/walk a short course for up to 45 mins. This includes rests, advice, information and encouragement and finishes with cool down stretches.
As a new starter you will be helped and encouraged throughout the programme to improve and reach your goal. You will be provided with a nine week training schedule and advice on running for fitness and enjoyment.
To celebrate your success, when the nine week course is complete, take part in a Park Run on a Saturday morning. This is a free event but to receive an official time it is important to head to their website, register and print out your unique barcode.
